Alan Pike who works for the [[centre_for_crisis_psychology|Centre for Crisis Psychology]], was hired by Mark Warner and **flew out on the 4th May 2007 to assist the McCann couple**.

According to his ->[[http://uk.linkedin.com/in/alanpikeccp|Linkedin profile]] Alan Pike gained a BA (Hons) Social Science,  Psychology from  Manchester Metropolitan University (which at the time was a Polytechnic) - 1986-1989. From 1999 to 2004 he worked as a Child Protection Social Worker in South Manchester local authority. In 2004 he joined the [[centre_for_crisis_psychology|Centre for Crisis Psychology]] as a trauma Consultant. Alan Pike states having worked as a Clinical Consultant for the [[centre_for_crisis_psychology|Centre for Crisis Psychology]] from 2004 - 2005. However, it is not known, whether he has any clinical qualifications.

Alan Pike is often referred to as a psychologist but he does not have qualifications as a Psychologist. 
Curiously, there is no record of Alan Pike being registered as a Social Worker on ->[[http://www.hpc-uk.org/check/|Health & Care Professionals Council]] or on  ->[[http://www.bacpregister.org.uk/|British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy]]

On 19th September 2013 Alan Pike acted as a witness for the McCanns in the [[mccann_vs_amaral_libel_suit|Libel Trial 'McCanns vs. Amaral']].

**Remark:**  The //Centre for Crisis Psychology// is linked to the ->[[https://www.missingpeople.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are/our-ambassadors.html|Missingpeople.org]] with [[kate_mccann|Kate McCann]] as an //ambassador//. There is seemingly also some linkage of CCP/A.Pike to [[richard_branson|Richard Branson]]. 
The CCP usually helps in large scale desasters, like e.g. the Lockerbie Crash of a Boeing 747 with hundreds of victims. The McCann's got to be a client but only hours after the alleged abduction. CCP was already involved on 4th May 2007 and Alan Pike met [[gerry_mccann|Gerald Patrick McCann]] first on 5th May in [[praia_da_luz|Praia da Luz, Portugal, Algarve]]. The question arises who did inform CCP and pay for this unusual commitment of CCP. It lies on hand that it may have been Richard Branson, who was a donator from the very beginning to the McCanns.
