This is an old revision of the document!
CEOP ( http://ceop.police.uk/) became involved early on in the Madeleine McCann case.
On 13 July 2007, still in London, Gerry spends a large part of the day at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre to learn more about their role. It seems likely that it was on this visit that Gerry collected the CEOP manuals that were seen later in the PJ video, taken in the McCanns' Vista Mar Villa residence, in August 2007. http://www.mccannfiles.com/id207.html
CEOP launched an appeal for holiday makers to upload their holiday snaps onto their website ( no longer working: madeleine.ceopupload.com.). http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/may/22/ukcrime.sandralaville It is unknown if this those holiday snaps were passed on to the PJ.
Chief Executive of CEOP at the time was Jim Gamble. He resigned in October 2010 over a row concerning the proposed integration of CEOP with the National Crime Agency.
